Plexiwire PCTG belongs to the same family of polyesters as the increasingly popular PET-G.
Compared to its better-known counterpart, PCTG has higher impact resistance, provides exceptional form stability, temperature strength and clarity, making it an excellent alternative to PET-G. It features minimal shrinkage making it compatible even with open type printers.
PCTG is also more resistant to high temperatures than PET-G, It can be used in projects requiring operation at temperatures above 80°C. It has increased flexibility, making it less brittle and preventing prints from cracking even under severe bending and stretching.
It is characterized by resistance to chemicals, high stability in shape and size, and resistance to high impact, making it ideal for industrial use in the production of spare parts and utility models. The strength properties mentioned so far do not end with the advantages of PCTG filament. In addition, thanks to its excellent optical transparency, PCTG is ideal for the production of models where this parameter is important.
